Why would I see a counsellor?
Sometimes life’s problems such as conflict in relationships, stress at work, a bereavement, confidence issues, anxiety, depression and so on, can lead to feelings of despair and hopelessness. We can feel overwhelmed by negative emotions and struggle to find a way forward. For many reasons, we can find it difficult to talk to friends and family about how we are feeling. At this time, starting a talking therapy has been proven to enable an individual to work through their difficulties, develop their own inner resources and make positive changes within their lives.
Therapeutic Counselling offers you a safe, confidential place to talk about your life and anything that may be confusing, painful or uncomfortable for you. It allows you to talk with someone who is professionally trained to listen attentively and help you to explore what’s holding you back and find the solutions. At Keltic Coaching, we will help you to understand, accept and overcome emotional issues, problems and concerns, some of which may be long-standing. This happens through a series of conversations where we use various techniques to enable you to gain new perspectives and insights. It is a process that increases your self awareness,
What happens during your first session?
I offer a free 30 minute consultation which gives us both the opportunity to meet each other and for you to decide if you wish to book a session.
Your first session will be about why you are coming to counselling, what you want to achieve from counselling and agreeing how we will work together. It is important that you feel comfortable and relaxed to enable you to talk about your present worries and concerns.
We will also mutually agree a contract for counselling including confidentiality and terms.
A session will last between 50 – 75 minutes and costs £50 a session, which can be on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.
